In light of the Ukraine war and its potential consequences for Eastern Europe, as citizens of the United States who believe in the strongest possible US – Republika Srpska relations, we are committed to maintaining and strengthening the Europe Whole and Free Policy embraced by every US President since the fall of the Berlin Wall. To this effect, we would like to ensure that fair and balanced policies towards Republika Srpska are a priority of US policymakers.
The transition to democracy in post Cold War Europe was unique for Bosnian Serbs, as it was the first in Europe that was characterized as a clash of civilizations and the first instance of a Muslim plurality that emerged with the potential to outvote or impose its will on Orthodox and Catholic Christians. As a result, the Bosnian Serbs founded Republika Srpska, took up arms to defend themselves, and over 30 years later are one day closer to becoming a free and independent nation in Europe.
To this extent, Republika Srpska, much like its great ally Israel, both have a right to exist, and Republika Srpska is one of Israel’s staunchest supporters in Europe. Much like Israel, Republika Srpska faces challenges to its very existence, but it strives to preserve traditional Judeo-Christian values on the European continent while facing hostile adversaries. Our objective is to strengthen US support for Republika Srpska to mirror US support for Israel.
The Serbian and American people enjoyed great diplomatic relations for over 140 years and fought in the first 2 world wars as allies. In fact, during World War II, General Draza Mihailovic led to the rescue of over 500 US Airmen.
Serbian contributions to the building of America have left a profound impact on American society and culture with past, current, and future successes.
Republika Srpska seeks full support from the United States for independence and to become a member of NATO and the European Union.
