Paths to Freedom
The Final Status of Republika Srpska:
The citizens of Republika Srpska believe in the strongest possible relations with the United States and European Union and that fulfilling their right to self-determination with full independence leads to inclusion into Euro Atlantic structures, which would ensure permanent peace in the Balkans.
There are 3 paths that lead to freedom for the citizens of Republika Srpska:
Path #1
Coordinated Effort with the International Community
In coordination with the international community, the citizens of Republika Srpska would like to start a political process that leads to a “Dayton 2” peace conference with the goal of securing a peaceful dissolution of Bosnia & Herzegovina and independence for Republika Srpska, recognized by the United States. In addition, Republika Srpska would join NATO and the European Union to enjoy the full benefits of Euro Atlantic integration.
Path #2
Russian Military Intervention
In recent years, the Russian military has intervened in the Ukraine, Syria, and Georgia with a show of force as Moscow seeks to re-assert its geopolitical interests. A military victory in the Ukraine would embolden Moscow to seek an eventual military intervention in Republika Srpska to help secure its independence. This course of action would disrupt European security and force the Serbs to live in an authoritarian society, and possibly provoke the United States into a direct confrontation with the Russians. The United States has never gone to war with a nuclear power, so the risks posed to our Europe Whole and Free Policy would be increased if the Russians succeed in the Ukraine and Republika Srpska.
Path #3
Unilateral Declaration of Independence
Republika Srpska would be isolated and without international partners if it chose to act alone and without coordination with the international community.
